Our Location

Gwyn Careg Inn is located in the small rural and picturesque town of Pomfret Connecticut. The town was incorporated in 1718 and has changed from a rural agricultural town to a rural residential one. Many historic buildings and landmarks exist in Pomfret and are preserved for all to view and enjoy.

From Norwich/New York

95 North to Route 395 North to Exit 93. Turn left onto Route 101 West and follow for approximately 4.5 miles to the intersection of Route 169. Continue West on Route 101 for 1/2 mile. Route 101 will end and you will proceed straight onto 44 West for approximately 1.4 miles. At this point turn left onto Wolf Den Road (across the road from "Pete's Drive-in"). Gwyn Careg Inn is 1/3 of a mile on your right.

From Hartford

84 East to Exit 69. Turn right onto Route 74. Follow Route 74 to the intersection of Route 44. Take a left onto Route 44 East. Follow to the intersection of Route 97. Proceed straight on Route 44 East for approximately 1/2 mile and turn right onto Wolf Den Road (located across the road from "Pete's Drive-in"). Gwyn Careg Inn is 1/3 of a mile on your right.

From Rhode Island

Route 6 West to 101 West through the town of Killingly. At the underpass of Route 395 continue West on 101 for 4.5 miles to the intersection of Route 169. Continue West on 101 for 1/2 mile. Route 101 will end and you will proceed straight onto Route 44 East for approximately 1.4 miles. At this point turn left onto Wolf Den Road, (across the road from "Pete's Drive-in"). Gwyn Careg Inn is 1/3 of a mile on your right.

From Boston/Worcester

Route 290 West or the Mass Pike to Route 395 South to Connecticut. Get off at Exit 97 and take a right onto Route 44 West. There will be a series of rights and lefts, be sure to follow the signs for Route 44 West. From Exit 97 follow Route 44 for approximately 9.2 miles and take a left onto Wolf Den Road (located across the street from "Pete's Drive-in"). Gwyn Careg Inn is 1/3 of a mile on your right.

From Sturbridge

Route 131 South to the intersection of Route 169. Proceed through the town of Woodstock Connecticut to Pomfret. Approximately 1.1 miles from the Pomfret School, take a left onto Route 44 West. Continue West on 44 approximately 2.1 miles and take a left onto Wolf Den Road (located across the street from "Pete's Drive-in").
